If it ain't broke: This is a very effective treatment for reccurent uti's in women . I have used this same treatment for my patients for years when other treatments have not worked including douching(worse), cranberry juice and pills, etc. Why stop something that is easy, works and has almost no side effects.

Urinate after sex...: I've had success with a patient with post -coital uti's by recommending urination immediately after sex. Because of the"churning" that occurs during sex( apologies for the choice of words ), delaying micturition by an extended period of "pillow talk" will allow bacteria time to ascend the short urethral female tract. Urination will "flush" the system out.
