Yes: Oriental cholangiohepatitis is a disease of stones within the liver. In patients who develop stones in the gallbladder, there are some patients who will struggle with recurrent stones within the remaining pipeline. The best treatment is an ERCP and dilatation of the sphincter between the bile duct and the intestine to help relieve the pressure gradient.
