Yes.: What you may be feeling is a small appendage to the testicle called the appendix testis, but any suspicious mass or lump in the testicle should have a professional evaluation to rule out a testicular tumor. Tumors are painless, but can grow quickly. A detailed history and physical exam by a physician can assess whether a scrotal ultrasound should be performed.
