Thigh soreness: Thigh soreness is most commonly the result of a muscle injury to the big quadriceps muscle. There are other big nerves and blood vessels in this area and also hernias can develop here as well. Depending on the severity and duration of the symptoms and if there are any pulsations or masses associated, you may benefit from an exam. Hope this helps!

Maybe from back: Typical muscle or joint pain is made worse after or during activity and yours is with inactivity or no load bearing across the legs since sitting or lying down. It is positional and is relieved with a change of position both after awhile suggesting an issue referred from the lower back and less likely the leg. If bothers or limits you, get evaluated.
