Cyst: This is likely a sebaceous cyst that is infected. A very common place to get these. You need to see your doctor to get this treated, it needs to be lanced, and put on antibiotics. Do not try to treat it yourself this almost always makes it worse. Hot compresses will help and Motrin until you can be seen.

Warm compress, pcp: Do you have pierced ears or a history of trauma to that ear lobe? This sounds like there's an infection. Warm compresses may allow fluid to drain, relieving the pressure and allowing your body to heal the area. However it may require intervention by a primary care doctor and the use of prescription antibiotics.
