Pressure relief.: Bed sores are pressure sores (decubiti) and nothing will work unless offloading (pressure relief) is carried out. Then good wound care, removal of the nonviable (dead) tissue, and healing, grafting, or muscle flap surgery by a plastic surgeon may be necessary.
