Cause and effect: Bedsores are cause by pressure on an area of tissue that is overlying a boney prominence. Therefore the first and most important key to healing is to get them off that area at all times. Depending on the level of injury, other things can be done including debridement or simple dressings changed every other to every third day to allow the area to heal. A wound care specialist with experience is key.
