Lot of unknown info: Swelling can be caused by heart, lung, kidney, lymph system, circulation problems and some medicine to name a few. Sometimes compression socks help, elevation of the feet when not walking help. Have him evaluated by his medical doctor and see if something can be done to help with the swelling.
