What can you do about severe vomiting with dental abscess?

Call your Dentist: Often vomiting can be caused by pain medication especially if taken on an empty stomach. Have your dentist change your pain prescription and possibly call in a script for Phenergan (promethazine) suppositories for nausea.

See dentist, MD: I would recommend seeing your dentist as soon as possible for treatment of the dental abscess. The vomiting could be due to the infection spreading, fetid taste and odor, drainage of pus, or some other medical issue. I think this is an issue that needs to addressed by both the dentist and md.
