Concerning: At your age, there is reason to be concerned about cancerous lesions forming that are mostly caused by aggressive strains of human papilloma virus (hpv). If you still have your tonsils, it could be an infectious process on that side. You could even have throat pain on one side with laryngopharyngeal reflux, a type of acid reflux. You should go in as soon as possible for a laryngoscopy by an ent.
