Yes: Low back pain and a fever together can be a sign of a possible spinal infection and needs to be further evaluated by a doctor. Although other conditions (like a urinary tract infection) can cause similar issues, any associated neurologic issues (such as pain or weakness in the legs or losing bowel or bladder control) can be a medical emergency and shouldn't be ignored.
