Would think so: Every study with alcohol shows that alcohol slows reflexes and concentration. My thought would be that a serious athlete would not drink alcohol since it is beneficial to your training. The calories are empty calories and will certainly not improve you physical fitness.

Yes: Alcohol a sedative by definition. Therefore, alcohol will affect behavior on all levels of performance.
