Most likely: Usually if you take one out, best to take out it's counter part. In otherwords if you take out a bottom one, the top one should go to or vice versa.

Yes: Teeth work in pairs--upper teeth occlude with loser teeth and together they are abel to function. When one wisdom tooth is removed, eventually the opposing tooth will supererupt with time until it contacts the tissue. Usually by then it becomes painful and annoying and you end up extracting the lone tooth at that point. Most dentist recomend that you extract opposing wisdom teeth in pairs.

Not necessarily: Depends if the tooth is symptomatic or compromising the adjacent teeth or bite. Please have an evaluation by your dentist.

Depends: If the other tooth is a wisdom tooth that opposes the one being removed, and no longer in function or a tooth compromised with decay or periodontal problem, it should be removed. If you are referring to another tooth that is not a wisdom tooth your dentist or surgeon can provide you with advice after evaluating any compromised teeth that are not restorable.

Recovery/immune syst: If you develop problems with the other wisdom teeth at a later time, then you will have to undergo all the procedures again. If one tooth is taken out, then the other extractions may take longer to heal, the bone can get denser and thicker (if a long time between extractions,) and one surgery is just more efficient for you and the Dr.

Often: Often all 4 wisdom teeth are extracted at the same time. At age 49, this may vary. Get expert advice. For best results with wisdom teeth, make sure you are evaluated and treated by a board certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon.
