HCG: There is a type of ovarian cyst that can occasionally produce hcg. It is called a teratoma or a dermoid. It can either be a benign or a malignant type.

HCG: "HCG" is human growth hormone, and is produced when pregnancy occurs at increasing levels over time. Ovarian cysts do not produce HCG, so if HCG is detected, it is a confirmation of pregnancy.
