I am on dilantin to control seizures, and health conditions run very high in my family. am i okay?

Need close followup: Dilantin has many side effects including liver and blood count problems. However, with routine checkups at least every six months, you should do fine. We now have better and safer seizure medications, but if Dilantin has been working, better not to change.
