Prevention: No -- for primary treatment. Aspirin and drugs called cox-2 inhibitors (non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs = nsaids) are being used and researched for the prevention of colon polyps and cancer in high risk by family history patients. They are also being used in clinical trials for secondary prevention after colon cancer treatment.
