A member asked:

Can you tell me if aspirin is taken during terminal cancer pains?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: When patients develop metastatc cancer or some form of advanced cancer requiring pain control, analgesics like Aspirin or Tylenol (acetaminophen) offer little if any benefit. It general dilaudid, or a morphine derivative is required. Sometimes localized pain can be obtained by using electrostimulation with a TENS pad or an anesthetic nerve block.
