Great question: Sluggish cognitive tempo (sct) describes a certain slowness of accessing & assessing data. These would be problems with incoming data (afferents) such as central auditory comprehension, attention, synthesis or analysis. Classic adhd describes the problems with outputs (efferents) such as hyperactivity, handwriting or impulsivity. Central to both is an inefficient executive cortical manager.
