How is osteopathy different from naturopathy?

4 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

Quite different: Us osteopathic physicians are licensed for the full scope of medicine and surgery. Also trained in manipulative manual treatment, including cranial-sacral work. More holistic than md; generally not trained to use herbs which is naturopaths realm.

Very: Osteopathy is traditional medicine with physical body manipulation taught as well. Naturopathy is a completely different field that uses herbal "remedies" among other things to achieve optimum health. The two fields can be synergistic.
