Possibly; unlikely: I often advise acupressure but doubt it would cure trigeminal neuralgia (tn). Naturopathy includes many modalities. There are many possible causes of tn. A naturopath will search for the cause & may treat with vitamins, herbs, detox, homeopathy etc. Naturopathy might cure some cases but probably not all. You can also consult a homeopath or a holistic md; see http://www.Abihm.Org/search-doctors.

One option: I am currently using acupuncture on several patient with this problem. It hasn't resolved it but is giving them better pain relief than narcotics were.

EastWest Integrative: Medication management is the first line of treatment. 60-70% of patients will be controlled with medications. The medication is titrated to the point of pain control or the inability of the patient to tolerate the side effects. At this point I use acupuncture/acupressure to ameliorate side effects and tapper down medications. However, surgery is a good option in some cases.
