Alternative theory: Naturopaths rely upon the concern that folks have for conventional medicine - offering a so called natural alternative to treat disease. Many are charismatic and depend upon the placebo effect. Their potions are mostly untested for effectiveness and there is no regulation of quality or contents. Most do no harm, but few are helpful in any meaningful way.
