Sleep apnea... is there any permanent cure?

Sleep apnea: The best cure is weight loss but this does not guarantee a cure. There are many people that lose weight and their apnea gets much better.

Management: Unless caused by obesity, and rectified by severe weight loss, you probably will not cure your sa. It's a litte like having diabetes in that you still have it, but manage it. CPAP is the gold standard treatment and works well. If you cannot tolereate it, consider an oral appliance made by a dentist trained in this. Surgery is also an option, though not always a permanent solution.

Hard to say: Often by changing different habits or your lifestyle, sleep apnea may disappear. Losing weight, exercise, better nutrition, and other factors may contribute to the sa being "cured" for life.
