Treatment: You should see a radiologist that specializes in treating veins. Most hospitals have a radiology group that specializes in treating veins.

CVI: From what you describe you should see a vein specialist for a full venous evaluation including a venous duplex ultrasound. If you have underlying venous reflux then this can be treated with excellent results. CVI is usually a slowly progressive problem but, if untreated, usually progresses.
