Formula is balanced: If your physician has charted your child on a growth chart & told you he is obese, you may want to cut the volume of his formula feedings & offer some water bottles instead. Having the kid sit in a high chair next to the dinner table & watch others eat might seduce him into trying some of what you eat (mashed up of course).You can skip baby foods altogether if you can interest him in table foods.

Too much formula?: Perhaps he is getting too much formula. If he is getting more then 40 oz a day it is a lot. If this is the case cut back on formula and put finger foods in front of him before offering the bottle. Also if he had a problem with consistency of food try stage 3 foods first and always offer food first don't give up.
