Be easy on yourself: Kids become potty trained when they are ready emotionally and physically. The speech delay is likely to be related to other milestones. Grandparents wanted my kids pottytrained my 16 months. We know better. When she is able and ready she will. Dont beat yourself up over this. The fact you ask shows a much of a wonderful mother you are.My kids were not all trained by 3 yo.

Blame the pull-ups!: I'll answer each issue separately. Pull-ups wick away moisture, making it less likely that kids will feel the wetness when they urinate. Can she walk from room to room , say "pee-pee, poo-poo, and potty, get her pants up and down and sense when slhe has to have a bm? If so, steps to independence is a good book.F.

Early Inyerventionm: If she has a language delay ( difficulty understanding spoken language) and/or expressing her thoughts, p not just a motor speech delay (not 75% intelligible to strangers), she may qualify for early childhood special education. Call your school district and ask for child find. They will asess her development in all areas and discuss apprpriate class placement.
