Limit time : Sitting places a 4 times body weight load across your lower back while being in a car causes an additional vibrational stress (cars and human spines vibrate at the same harmonic frequency about 5 hertz). Prolonged positioning also adds increased load. Getting out of a car periodically if it can be done safely can help as can a small lumbar roll support. Also seat adjustments can help.
