Possible: Many hospice programs have a medical director. Many programs also will also have a patient's own doctor involved. If the patient has a long relationship, and is willing they are usually welcome to help care for their patient.

Certainly: You can even continue to see specialists. Although your care should be co-ordinated, hospice care allows for all patient needs to be met.

End of life care.: Hospice care can be given at home, in the hospital or in a skinned nursing facility. Hospice is meant for those who seemingly at the end of life, although that end can still be many months away. The emphasis of hospice care is not trying to save the life, but to give comfort to the individual as their death approaches. Your PMD can be a part of your health care team under hospice.
