What is a mild case of hyphema like?

7 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

Trouble!: Hyphema is the presence of red blood in the anterior chamber of the eye, the space between the back if the cornea and the front of the lens. It results from an injury or disease affecting the blood. Suspended or collected blood can cause corneal staining, glaucoma or toxicity and threaten your vision. It is mandatory that you be examined by an eyemd to treat the effects of the injury and hyphema.

No such thing: A hyphema is a serious ocular condition where blood enters the anterior chamber. Any case of hyphema is considered serious and should be seen immediately by an ophthalmologist.
