How does one treat fungal pneumonia blastomycosis?

Anti fungal agents: Treatment depends on whether the disease is confined to the lungs and whether it is severe or mild. Severe disease and extra-pulmonary disease needs to be treated with amphotericin b, an IV antifungal agent. Milder disease is usually treated with an oral drug called itraconazole which is safe and well tolerated.

Blastomycosis: Per the CDC Antifungal medications are used to treat Blastomycosis. Itraconazole is often used for mild to moderate infections. Amphotericin B is more likely to be used for severe infections (lungs or multiple other body systems). People who don't present with symptoms may not require treatment.
