Usually: Most of the time these will take several days to stop hurting and resord by themselves. However ther are time (perhaps a week or so) where they remain a pita (you figure that out). Then it is better to remove the clot and end the pain.

Maybe: Try stool softeners and warm bath. Avoid constipation and straining. If it remains, see a surgeon. You may need a hemorrhoidectomy.
