Good evening. if mild rectal bleeding goes away, should it be attributed to hemorrhoids or should it still be followed up with a gastroenterologist or colorectal surgeon?

Unless you have hemorrhoids and it was fresh blood -it is just speculation. Get checked for hemorrhoids and and follow your doc's advice who knows you and your family best. My advice -see a GI doc/
