I am 4 weeks post hemorrhoidectomy. i have had a swollen hemorrhoid since surgery which i was told would improve during recovery but is still swollen.

Normal: so far that is normal, but check with your surgeon. If you did have a really bad hemorrhoid, a surgeon could not removed all the hemorrhoid in one operation specially if they are external, because that will lead to anal stenosis. What you are feeling could be the remaining hemorrhoid. That why the best think is to check with your surgeons
