How long do breast prostheses last?

Depends if...: ...You're talking about exernal or internal. I've seen old-tech(pre '92) breast implants in good shape after 30 yrs but most need to be changed or removed. The newer ones (since '00) seem indestructible- i've not seen one fail). Saline seem to last about 10 yrs then leak.

Depends on the wear : The prosthesis are made of artificial material and are subject to wear and tear. They are subject to trauma also. Usually, the insurance companies have rules about paying for prosthesis every few years.
