Stenosis: The incidence of tips stenosis with uncovered stents is high and increases with time. The rate of stenosis at 6-12 months is about 75%. If stenosis occurs, dilation and insertion of additional stents can be performed. Coated stents reduce the incidence of stenosis. Your doctor will periodically monitor your tips for patency.
