Salivary stone: A minor salivary gland may have become blocked from bite trauma, or another cause. The saliva then becomes trapped within the tiny gland and can solidify into the yellow rubbery "stone." the hole, or defect, that remains, will heal rapidly.

Hole in cheek: I would see an oral surgeon to have evaluated. You may have had a clogged salivary gland that backed up and the saliva hardened and somehow burst out and left a hole. I have seen it with a sweat gland externally. But i would see someone in person to determine what happened, what caused it and to treat it.
