A member asked:

How long should i wait to use my hand normally after finger fracture?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It takes about 6wks: Fractures take about 6 weeks to heal. During this time, the finger is likely to be immobilized. Once the immobilization is completed, range of motion exercises are initiated. Once the fracture is healed, you should be able to use it with minimal discomfort. See a board certified orthopaedic hand surgeon for evaluation and treatment.
