Yes: Dr ali is correct. In some folks, acute alcohol. Ingestion can temporarily enlarge the liver. This is not usually permanent or dangerous. But drinking to excess is of course a serious problem. See your doctor if you believe your liver is damaged or you have a drinking problem.
