2-4 weeks: Generally 2 to 4 weeks after exposure. Some cases have presented up to 3 months after exposure. Acute HIV symptoms include "flu like symptoms" such as fever, swollen lymph nodes, sore throat, rash, muscle pain, malaise, mouth/esophageal sores. These symptoms last for a few weeks, and then patients largely do not have any symptoms. If you think you may have been exposed to hiv, get tested!
