A member asked:

Do you have to get sick (flu or cold) before you develop antibodies for hiv? or having symptoms or the lack of @3 mths or longer conclusive?(oraquick)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not conclusive: I answered the same question earlier. Even at three months a negative oraquick test does not rule out HIV infection. Consult your doctor for an HIV nucleic acid test.
