Does shrimp have a high level of cholesterol?

Yes, but ...: Shrimp is higher in cholesterol than other seafood, but it doesn't affect a person's blood cholesterol very much. Seafood is generally better for your cholesterol than beef or other animal fats.

Yes: Shrimp have higher amounts of cholesterol that some other foods. They however do not have high "bad" fatty acids, unless fried. Eating foods high in cholesterol by itself, such as eggs, is not necessarily bad as long as you eat balanced diet otherwise.
