No, on the contrary.: Calcium supplementation does not elevate the blood pressure, on the contrary there have been studies that prove that taking calcium may help reduce the bp. Taking about 1200 mg calcium supplementation led to a 1.9 point drop in systolic blood pressure and a 1.0 point drop in diastolic pressure according to a study published in j of human hypertension.
