No, not true: Much attention has been focused on getting adequate calcium & whether or not to take supplements. It IS best to try to get calcium from your diet through 2-3 servings of non-fat dairy (milk/yogurt) a day. Usually one calcium tablet would be 200-330 mg of elemental calcium which is a modest & acceptable dose. There have been some reports of association with vascular problems, but not conclusive.
