A member asked:

Is trachelectomy safe if there is some cancer left?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many leave the cvx: At hysterectomy for comfort and safety, but it leaves the part of the uterus at risk for cancer. Trachelectomy is indicated if cancer occurs, the alternate of XRT is compromised because the endocervical cavity dead ends, so the brachy ascpect cannot use tandem. Trachelctomy + node dissection best option.
