Is it safe to have a baby if you were told you have a 3% chance of having another one with cancer?

Yes it is safe: The odds are overwhelming that your second bay will be perfectly healthy.

Personal choice: I have counselled parents that were ready for another try when told their risk of a problem exceeded 75 %, and one specifically who would not consider it at a 1% risk level. The impact of such a problem effects people differently and either spouse may have a different level of concern. With good spousal communication and a good preparation i think it is fine to move ahead. The choice must be yours.
