A member asked:

Is it safe to fly with a ruptured eardrum?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably yes: A blocked eustachian tube is the most common cause of discomfort in the ear when flying. A ruptured ear drum is like having a tube in the ear drum and there is automatic equalization of pressure for the middle ear. Therefore, i believe it is safe for you to fly.
