Maybe: Only if the hernia is large enough to contain intestines, or if there is a lot of pain and discomfort from the hernia, or if there is serious problem of severe pain and vomiting from intestines trapped or blocked in a hernia. Otherwise standard small hernias not likely to affect one's apoetite.

Maybe: Could be because there is part of the intestine within the hernia, or just an associated symptom due to the abdominal wall discomfort.
