Severe hypertension: Stage 3 hypertension is a blood pressure of 180-210/110-120. Medications are extremely important to prevent any cardiovascular incidents such as heart attacks and/or strokes. There are four stages of hypertension, but this is a serious condition that needs medical follow up.
