Nutcracker syndrome: My understanding is that the angled positioning of the superior mesenteric artery in relationship to the aorta in nutcracker syndrome was really an anatomic variant (nothing caused it to happen, that's just how vessels are in that particular body). I don't see how a hysterectomy would change the position of that artery if it was normal to begin with.
