How long does augmentine/culvenate 1g stay in the system after last dose?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Virtually gone by 12: The half-life of Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) is about 1.5 hours (time it takes for body to get rid of half of the dose/med), thus after 3-half-lives or abour 4.5 hours, you have about 12.5% left in your body. By 7-8 hours out, u have just about 3% left, thus dosing of 2-3x/day is needed. If you have additional concerns, consult doc. Good luck.
