Is aquaphor unsafe to use for eczema?

Not unsafe: Aquaphor is not unsafe for eczema but may not be helpful other than helping dry skin. My best ointment for eczema would be bagbalm, available in a green can at any pharmacy or grocery. It is lanolin-based with a little bit of coal tar.

Safe and Effective: Aquaphor is a great barrier application for eczema that seals moisture in. It is great to use for wet wraps at night. In addition like to use fragrance-free moisturizers like Vanicream, Cetaphil, or Eucerin 1-2 times per day. Other suggestions include avoiding long hot showers and harsh and drying cleansers.
